“There’s No Such Thing As Menopause?” Bless Your Heart.
Apparently, there’s a new trend going around: saying menopause isn’t real.
That it’s made up.
That it’s caused by seed oils.
That it’s a lie pushed by Big Pharma.
One guy even claimed it was part of MK Ultra and public school indoctrination—yes, really.
I saw a post online that said, “There’s no such thing as menopause. You’ve just been conditioned by society.” And get this—it came with a uterus diagram, a list of herbs, and instructions to drink spring water and “clear your mind.”
You want me to clear my mind? Sweetheart, the brain fog already took care of that.
Because last I checked, my hot flashes weren’t a trend.
The night sweats didn’t come with a side of enlightenment.
And no, I didn’t imagine the night I cried in my car because I couldn’t remember how to get home from the grocery store I’ve been going to for years.
Menopause is real.
It’s not new.
And it’s definitely not a conspiracy.
🧬 Let’s Talk About What’s Actually True
Menopause is a biological milestone—not a malfunction.
It’s something every woman who lives long enough will experience. Our hormones shift. Our cycles stop. Our bodies change.
That’s not opinion. That’s anatomy.
But here’s what is new:
We’re living longer—and we’re finally talking about it.
For generations, menopause was a whispered thing. Something to “get through” quietly, without complaint. Something to hide.
But not anymore.
🔥 This Isn’t Empowerment—It’s Gaslighting
When doctors, influencers, or men say menopause isn’t real, they’re not being revolutionary—they’re being dismissive.
They’re repeating the same tired story women have heard forever:
If we speak up about pain, we’re dramatic.
If we advocate for ourselves, we’re difficult.
If we question medical bias, we’re ungrateful or unstable.
Sound familiar?
My own sister had a male OB-GYN tell her that perimenopause wasn’t a real thing. That post-menopause didn’t exist.
“You’re either in menopause or you’re not.”
Really? That’s the best you’ve got?
Perimenopause is real. Post-menopause is real. This whole messy, beautiful midlife season is real.
What’s actually made up is the idea that women should endure it all—hot flashes, memory issues, night sweats, mood swings, joint pain, insomnia—without support, research, or respect.
🧠 Intuition Is Great—But So Is Science
That post told women to “listen to nothing but your intuition with a clear, empty mind.”
Look, I believe in intuition.
I also believe in evidence.
And experience.
And common sense.
I don’t need a fear-mongering meme with a uterus diagram and herbal tea recipes to tell me what’s happening in my own body.
What I need—and what we ALL need—is truth, support, and the freedom to speak up without being gaslit.
💪 Midlife Isn’t the End. It’s the Shift.
Midlife is messy.
It’s powerful.
It’s where we lose the scripts we were handed and write something real.
Yes, our bodies feel unfamiliar. Yes, our sleep disappears.
But this is also where we reclaim ourselves.
I’m not here to be quiet.
I’m not here to make anyone comfortable by pretending this doesn’t exist.
I’m here to say it out loud—for me, for my sister, for you, and for every woman who’s ever been told her pain wasn’t real:
So to the guy who posted, “There’s no such thing as menopause?”
You can keep your theories.
We’ll keep speaking the truth—louder than ever.
Tell Me…
Have your ever been dismissed or gaslit about your health? If so tell us about your experience and how you advocated for yourself.
